Our reference 2011Z25499/ 2011D60708

Dear Mr Nedelcu,

On behalf of the standing committee on European Affairs of the Dutch
House of

Representatives, I warmly thank you for your letter dated November 3,
2011.

I took note of the report on the evaluation process regarding the
preparation of Romania to the Schengen accession, appended to your
letter, and this information will be brought to the attention of the
committee members.

Furthermore, I appreciate your kind invitation to a working visit to
Romania. Unfortunately, due to previous engagements and priorities
ahead, it is not possible to fit such a visit into the committee working
schedule for 2012.

I am looking forward to cooperating with you within the framework of the
COSAC meetings and, where appropriate, of the joint parliamentary
meetings to be organised by the European Parliament and the parliaments
of the Member States holding the upcoming EU Council Presidencies.

Yours faithfully,

Chairman of the Standing Committee on European Affairs,

R.W. Knops
